To avenge his love's death, Sir Gerald challenges her murderer to a duel. Her twin, however, feels that Alice never loved the knight and gives him a tea that sends him to into the future, to the Regency era.

Lady Vanessa seeks a Christmas treat when she hears something outside the manor. Upon investigation, she sees a man dressed in armor. Unwilling to turn away a confused man with the approaching holiday, she convinces her parents to house Gerald until the new year.

Scandal has forced her parents to accept William as their daughter's best chance at marriage. Although rich, he does not understand her or her love of books, whereas Gerald listens to her, confides in her and she him. With the approaching holiday, nothing is certain - not whether Gerald can discover a way back to his duel, whether he can move on from Alice, and not whether this Christmas will be a happy one for either Gerald or Vanessa.

My Thoughts

"Honor, truth, and loyalty will only get ye so far. Love, though, it lifts ye up, alters your very outlook on life, changes your life itself. Love is all that matters."
That quote itself had made me fell in love with the book. There were just something beautiful and timeless about this story. The hero had travel through time to meet his true love.

Sir Gerald wanted to avenge Alice's death more than anything else. So when Alice's twin, Terese told him that Alice loved many men, Gerald was really livid. She gave him tea which sent him to six hundred years later.

Lady Vanessa was surprised when she met a man with full armor suit outside her manor. When she saw the confused man, she wanted to help him since it was nearly Christmas.

Gerald was a bit rough on the edge but he was an attentive listener to Vanessa. He made her feel safe and happy despite her parents forcing her to marry the boring William. But he wanted to go back to his duel in the past. Can he find his way back? Will he want to go back?

Vanessa was an intelligent lady who feel trapped in her own house since her parents wanted her to marry William. Even though she understood her parents' motive, she wanted to be in love. Gerald proved to be much more entertaining with his own medieval way. Will he be her medieval knight?

I really love everything about the story. The Christmas spirit, medieval knight, regency time, the view about love and time-travel theme were great combinations for the book. This book is invaluable. I can't stop reading the book and the secrets within the tea were really interesting. It really changed my view about medieval time. I wish it would be longer.
